The first step in the admissions process is to schedule a school tour. We invite you to witness the magic that is our Montessori school, where our students engage in active learning in beautifully prepared learning environments. The tour will take approximately 1 hour and includes visiting our classrooms and our natural outdoor learning spaces. 

We are eager to welcome you and your children into our learning community. Seeing our classrooms in action will illustrate how the Montessori approach fosters children’s innate curiosity, enthusiasm, independence and active engagement. Applications are available during your tour or under the “application” tab above. A $75 non-refundable application fee should accompany each child’s application. Applications can be mailed or delivered in person to our business address: Topsail Montessori,  301 Whitebridge Road, Hampstead, NC 28443. If you choose to deliver in person, you will find a white locked mailbox on the lower level inside of the fenced in area. 

We also ask that you review our “Topsail Montessori Parent & Student Handbook,” (available under “Parent Handbook” tab above). Decisions regarding your child’s education are some of the most important decisions you will make as a parent, so reviewing our handbook prior to submitting an application will help ensure that our mission and values align with what you envision for your child. 

The Head of School determines the availability of space in each classroom. If no opening is available, your child’s application will be included in the waiting pool and you will be contacted when an opening arises. Once your child is accepted, an enrollment contract will be written. Parents must sign and return the contract along with the tuition deposit (equal to 1 month’s tuition) to secure the child’s placement. Required paperwork and additional information will be provided to you as your child’s start date approaches. These forms and the first payment must be submitted prior to your child’s first day of school.
